What to expect during your family shoot

As you may have noticed, these are not perfectly posed images and that it completely on purpose. My goal with every session is to capture a family exactly as they are. That means I want to all the snort laughs, the tickle fights, and the moments where you hold onto your babies just a little longer.

I will do my best to get a couple of photos where everyone is smiling and looking at the camera, but for the most part I want our time together to feel more like a playdate. I love running around and being goofy with kids!

I find that my favorite images come from the genuine moments. I will say things like "give dad the biggest bear hug you can" or "lets see who can make the funniest face." Sometimes I may even ask your kids to play the "secret agent" game, where they sneak attack their unsuspecting parents with hugs and kisses.

I also like to throw some emotional prompts into my photos. I'll ask parents to snuggle up and think of their proudest moment. I also love when you bring some of your favorite things from home, like a book you like to read together or a favorite toy, because they are all a part of your story!
